What is your hometown/Where are you from?

Memphis TN

What brought you to Franklin/Nashville?

Meeting my husband Derek. We dated long distance between Memphis and Nashville for about a year before I moved here.

What is your favorite thing about Chiropractic care?

I didn’t actually grow up receiving chiropractic care. My first experience with a chiropractor was when I saw Dr Hinz about 6 years ago! I had been dealing with chronic neck pain from a car wreck for 10 years prior to that. Getting on a treatment plan and then switching to maintenance has greatly improved my quality of life and decreased my neck pain. I feel confident that continuing regular adjustments helps me to be more physically active and a more effective massage therapist as I age.

What is your favorite thing about massage therapy?

I love to help people get free from pain! Focused, intentional massage therapy gets to the root of the muscular problem instead of numbing or masking the pain like medications and steroid shots often do. Most people find that once they begin receiving massage they become aware of just how “tight” all of their muscles have become, not just the ones that were hurting! This self awareness encourages more regular exercise, stretching, water intake and building overall better habits.

How long have you been a massage therapist?

I took a chance on a second career after leaving social work in 2011. It turned out to be a great decision and I have enjoyed being a massage therapist for almost 10 years now!
