Health should be a top priority in everyone’s life, and spinal health is no different! By making your health a daily priority, you are setting yourself up to stay in shape and prevent problems from occurring. To keep your spine in check, you need to take care of it each day — this will help you feel better, have more energy, and improve your overall wellness.

What does a great daily routine include in order to keep your spine healthy? Exercise, getting up and taking breaks at work, getting the proper amount of sleep, and chiropractic care!

Human-Back-Pain

Exercise

Exercising every day helps keep your body strong, flexible, and in shape to handle all life has to throw at you! You don’t have to head to the CrossFit box each day for exercise to count, take a walk around your neighborhood, do some yoga, you name it– just get your heart rate up for 30 minutes each day.

Take a Break

If you’re like most Americans, you spend a lot of time sitting down. Commuting, watching TV, and working all equate to many hours sitting down, which can be bad for your back. Make it a habit to take periodic breaks throughout the work day and stand up, walk around, and stretch.

Sleep Tight

If you want to keep your spine healthy, you’ve got to get quality sleep. Set a bedtime routine and stick to it — keep electronics out of bed, set a bedtime and actually stick to it, and avoid caffeine late in the day.

Chiropractic Care

Get with your chiropractor and establish a care plan that works for you — for some this might mean daily care, for others it might mean monthly maintenance- this is something only you and your chiropractor can determine. Your chiropractor will help keep your spine healthy by correcting subluxations, ensuring your nervous system is functioning as it should!
